“I had no idea what to expect from a painter. I’ve always just done it myself, but I recently moved into a condo with a ton of crown molding and weird little corners. I took one look and it just looked like a miserable mess that seemed with the investment.
Nick was very responsive, met me the next day with his scratch pad of paper to take notes and was able to fit me in just a few days later. My 700 sq foot condo (walls, molding, ceiling, closets, doors) was done in two days and looked amazing.
He’s great at recommending paint and gave me everything I asked, without flaw, and was incredibly efficient. I’m pretty sure I would have used twice the amount of paint and made a huge mess.
As a side note, I was also getting my floors redone, and he offered to come back in and touch up the baseboards when it was complete. I didn’t take him up on it, but I mean, what a nice guy.

“If you feel like reading - I highly recommend Nick and his helpers! Hubby and I recently moved into our first home and we hired Nick to come and paint the entire 2 bedroom 2 bath. He came over one night and took just under 5 minutes to assess how much everything would cost. Since we were moving 3 days later, we selfishly wanted everything painted prior to that. As we were painting every single wall and every single door, this had to take more than just one day. Even so, Nick was able to squeeze us in the very next day and get started! We were so relieved to say the least. Over the next week, we worked out a schedule and he is so flexible as he had his helper (Stephan) come and do most of the work when Nick was otherwise engaged. On the very last day, Nick had brush in one hand, and me pointing out minor places that needed touch up. The end result is amazing. I can’t wait to show off my new place to friends and family, and I’m sure they will love the paint job as much as I do. Nick and Stephan are so friendly, and I will definitely hire them again.

“Submitted an online form to receive a quote for painting two rooms in our apartment. Quickly heard back from Nick with a rough estimate and agreed on a day about a week before the job date for him to view the unit and finalize the estimate. Emailed him to confirm the date/time a few days ahead of the scheduled visit and didn’t hear back. “I had Nick paint a room and hallway. Perhaps results would have been different if he did it himself but he had his assistant do all of it. His assistant “missed” spots that were not hard to reach (completely didn’t paint behind the radiator which is easily reachable!) and did a horrible job with corners - painted them with another color and not my color (not all whites are the same!). Also, I don’t even think they used primer so I had to pay for 2 buckets of paint when a cheaper primer and one bucket would have done the job.

Also, I don’t know if it’s because Nick’s gotten so busy but he totally didn’t show up one of the mornings to finish up all of these spots he missed. Now, my movers have moved all the stuff into the room and I need to rearrange everything so he can reach these spots.

I was hoping these rave reviews would mean Nick would be my painter for life but sadly I need to look for someone else.

***UPDATE****
I received a phone call and very polite formal letter from Nick’s son apologizing for the work, as well as a refund for one of the buckets of paint. This goes a long way in my book in terms of good customer service!! This shows me that they care about their customers and are good, decent people. I’ve updated my review to 3 stars because of this and hoping that this was just a bad day for Nick.
